INEG’EAU-Chili is a collaborative research project between France and Chile that seeks “to understand and spatialise the processes of construction of environmental inequalities related to water, in a context of strong climatic and urban pressure”.

The project will be carried out between 2018 and 2020 and involves research groups from GEODE (Géographie De l’Environnement), UMR 5602 CNRS, Université de Toulouse 2 de France; the Institute of Geography of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile; the Law and Water Management Centre of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Scientific and Technological Nucleus in Social Sciences and Humanities of Universidad de La Frontera.

GRID Chile participates as an associate organisation representative of civil society and will contribute in various stages of the project.

The project has started recently (April 2018) and includes several sectors of the province of Chacabuco as its area of study.
