SENSITIZATION of PUBLIC OPINION
To develop projects to raise public awareness, promoting, supporting and designing initiatives that highlight the importance of disaster risk management and fostering behavioral changes for a culture of resilience.
ACCESS TO INFORMATION
To facilitate access to information for different audiences (especially local communities, according to their specific communicational contexts) including information on threats, vulnerabilities and disaster risk conditions, disseminating initiatives and good practices, programs, policies and results, whether these are prepared by the Corporation or by other organisations and institutions, both public and private.
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
Support citizen participation through critical reflection of society on issues such as the governance of risks and disasters, as well as their impact on development processes. Also facilitate feedback, cross-cutting debate and the establishment of partnerships to improve decision-making.

Promote international cooperation, seeking subregional, regional and international support for disaster risk management in Chile, promoting collective action by intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations to integrate risk management into all sustainable development activities.
DISCUSSION AND DISSEMINATION OF LESSONS LEARNED
Organise and participate in public and private instances of discussion and dissemination of learning, good practices and innovations in the various areas of the disaster risk cycle and in relation to other key debates for development, such as adaptation to climate change.
REDUCTION OF VULNERABILITIES
To contribute to resilience and vulnerability reduction, through cooperation with civil society and communities, identifying existing vulnerabilities and capacities, and through planning proposals at different territorial scales.
